WILSONS PROMONTORY NATIONAL PARK
SUNDAY 30TH OCTOBER 2016
Japura is very proud to announce the first event of the year was held on the 30th October 2016, a trip to Wilson's Promonotory National Park with 95 participants.
We had two buses which one started from Bundoora and the other from Clayton. Both buses joined together for breakafast at the Mc Donalds Leogatha and we managed to get to Wilsons prom around 11am. We did a walk from the Tidal River to Squeaky Beach and the senoir members enjoyed the short walk around the Tidal River.
The Sri Lankan spirit was visible during lunch with a nice spread of food which all of us enjoyed very much. Later we had a sing-along sesion and then we went towards the beach to play some volleyball. The boys played some soccer while others were singing.
The weather was a blessing to us being sunny and nice evan though the forecasts was to have heavy rain. Around 4.30 with a big wind we were forced to pack. We took off 8 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
On both ways we were singing and dancing in the buses just like the wonderful trips we had in our university life which was really surprising for the kids.
We would like to keep this as a Japura tradition as all the participants including the children were talking about the next year's trip already. We invite you all to Join Japura community and be part of wonderful events and share your Uni experience with friends from the past.
Please see the uploaded photos below to talk a little about the fun we had.
